2nd September 2020.

From somewhere between Heaven, Hell and Morrison's liquor aisle...

Popping 666 Cherries are now almost ready to bring you their mini album, titled Heaven and Hell.

Production is now completed and the album will shortly be mastered and released on our record label, Phosgenic Ripper Productions.

The album is planned for a Halloween release date.

Here's a video from our new mini-album "Heaven and Hell".  It was filmed primarily in Sound Magic Studios in Ayr, with additional shots at  Chateau Graylands.

The blood was a concoction of tomato ketchup, Worcestershire sauce and a cheap and rather odious Spanish red, mixed to just the right consistency.   Strobe lighting was provided by the local pound shop.  Additional visual effects were supplied by Ryan Geiss' milkdrop plugin, used under the GNU LGPL.

The personification of our electronic drummer, Doctor Snowball, named by Suzy Blue in an unflattering comparison to Doktor Avalanche, was created in second life.

Filming continues on the Heaven and Hell videos.

The November weather last week was abominable, forcing us to relocate to an abandoned railway tunnel in Alloway that runs below the kirk that was made famous in Robert Burns Tam O'Shanter poem.

The grime and graffiti made an excellent backdrop for us to film against.  We also got some nice shots in Alloway Kirk itself and in Saint Nicholas Kirk in Prestwick, both of which have some very old graves in them.  Alloway has William Burnes, Robert Burns father, buried in it and Saint Nicholas Kirk In Prestwick contains the remains of Knights Templar.

The fact it was a cold, blustery, November's bastard of a day meant that we managed to film without interruptions.  It was good to be working with Stuart Henderson again, who played the part of the vampire and did camera work.
